How to Install cacti software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

cacti software package provides Frontend to rrdtool for monitoring systems and services, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install cacti 

cacti is installed in your system.

Make ensure the cacti package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cacti *

You will get with cacti package name, version, architecture and description in a table
